Dear Mattmanuel,
I have just recently started wearing dentures. How do I tell my new boyfriend that I wear them or should I tell him?

It's hard to say in which manner you would bring the subject of fake teeth as fashion up. I wish you had mentioned the reason why you are wearing them in the first place.
Your best bet would probably be to find an appropriate way to integrate the fact into regular conversation. Say you're talking about sports or hobbies... "I used to love to go rollerblading, but now I know never to strap wheels on my feet again...why, you ask? Well, lemme tell you..."
If you decide not to tell your new beau, keep in mind that deception, no matter how insignificant it may seem, is not the basis for a solid relationship. A good way to know whether he pro- or anti- denture is to ask him.

just tell him its not like hes obsessed with your teeth. if he likes you he wouldnt mind. but if he loves you then he wouldnt even care if you had a glass eye keep that a secret is a lie and if you like this guy then youll want to be honest babe

It's a shame if you feel you can't openly tell him for some reason, and looking at your age it's not that uncommon to wear dentures, just tell him straight out and say "well if you cant handle it then maybe we shouldn't be together" and im sure he will accept you for who you are.
NoBelle says:
I think 48 is a pretty young age to be wearing dentures. Let's not make CJ feel ancient. And I wouldn't be embarressed about it, either, I'm 23 and I'm headed down denture lane, most likely. I gotta kick this Coke habit.
Anyway, I would also add, CJ, to look on the bright side: Less teeth? That means less teeth to nick his tenderest places. You know how guys like new and different sensations. Bring up the possibility of one wild and tooth-free BJ and I'm sure he will stick around.
